The Top 10 Must Visit Gelaterias In Florence
You don’t go to Italy without eating gelato and you definitely don’t go to Florence without eating at least a few (once a day is a good starting average). However, with a different gelateria on every street corner, it can be hard knowing which ones to go to and which ones to avoid. After some very extensive research and tasty analysis, I have complied my top 10 favorite gelaterias in Florence, an included a map at the bottom of the post so you can find them! Buon Appetito!
1. Gelateria Dei Neri

Definitely a crowd favorite and for good reason. If you haven’t had gelato at Dei Neri, then what did you really do in Florence?
Location: Via dei Neri 9
2. Amalo

Very friendly service and great gelato, if gelato isn’t your thing (why are you reading this?) then you can also grab a frozen yogurt or crepe!
Location: Piazza Gaetano Salvemini, 2
3. Marco Ottaviano

Some of the freshest gelato I have come across in Italy. They also offer gluten free and sugar free gelato to accommodate everyone!
Location: Via Matteo Palmieri 34R
4. La Carraia

Gelato so good that they have two locations, however be prepared to stand in line.
2 locations:
Piazza Nazario Sauro 25R
Via dei Benci 24R
5. Gelateria Santa Trinita
Enjoy the best view of the Ponte Veccio while eating a delicious gelato at Santa Trinita.
Location: Piazza Frescobaldi 11/12 R
6. Gelateria Edoardo

The cream and cinnamon flavor duo at Edoardo’s is thus far my favorite gelato combination I have ever gotten. And I’ve had a lot of gelato…
Location: Piazza del Duomo 45R
7. My Sugar
Winners of the 2016 Florence Gelato Festival and featured in the New York Times, you definitely don’t want to skip out on this gelateria!
Location: Via De’ Ginori 49R
8. Perche no!…

“Why not?” is a suitable name for this gelateria, and they have a point, I can’t really think of many reasons to not eat gelato…
Location: Via Tavolini 19R
9. Cantina del Gelato

Cantina del gelato has by far the most unique flavors I have come across including mint, passionfruit, fig and ricotta, pineapple, and ginger, to name a few.
Location: Via de Bardi 31
10. Don Nino

The newest gelateria of them all and conveniently located right next to the Duomo. Enjoy a refreshing tasty gelato cone while standing in line for the Duomo.
Location: Piazza Del Duomo 11
Use this helpful map to find all of these locations! I dare you to try them all!
