The Suite Life Old San Juan: Stunning Views & Beautiful Rooms at Hotel Casablanca
Old San Juan is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the Caribbean. The city’s old-world charm, fun atmosphere, and colorful and romantic architecture make it a popular destination for cruise ships. That being said, Old San Juan is so much more than just a stop on a cruise route. The city is known for its good food, rich culture, and vibrant nightlife, making it a perfect starting point for any Puerto Rican vacation!
This summer I had the pleasure of visiting Old San Juan for around 3 days before meeting up with The Manini Experience for an amazing 6-day adventure exploring Puerto Rico.
While in Old San Juan I stayed at the amazing Hotel CasaBlanca for 4 nights, and I totally recommend this unique hotel to anyone looking for an excellent stay in the heart of Old San Juan.

One of the best parts of staying at the Hotel CasaBlanca is the hotel’s excellent location. The hotel is centrally located in Old San Juan and is a just a short walk away from the cruise ship terminal. Additionally, the restaurant is close to shops, restaurants, and is in walking distance of many of Old San Juan’s top tourist sites. The street on which the Hotel CasaBlanca is located, Calle Fortaleza, is incredibly charming and filled with the bright and colorful buildings the city is known for. It really is the perfect location for someone looking to explore Old San Juan.

Upon checking in, the staff of the Hotel CasaBlanca went out of their way to make me feel at home, and had excellent knowledge of the best things to do and places to eat nearby. They even had some great suggestions on where to go to hear live music nearby. I instantly felt welcomed, and I found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and approachable throughout my stay.

Another great perk to staying at the Hotel CasaBlanca is that it is the first EPA Energy Efficient Certified Hotel in Puerto Rico. I love responsible tourism and totally believe in staying in eco-friendly accommodations whenever possible.

The Hotel CasaBlanca is a boutique style hotel, and all of the rooms are uniquely decorated with beautiful local art and features original furniture from the early 1900s. I had the pleasure of staying in a Balcony Queen room, which opens up to a small shared balcony perfect for people watching and taking in the bustling atmosphere of the city and street below.
I loved that the rooms are bright and airy, and feature local art which adds a great sense of character and a pop of color. Additionally, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, which made for an excellent night’s sleep.

Additionally, rooms have all the necessary amenities such as wi-fi, satellite television, and steamers and hair dryers (upon request) to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease in Old San Juan.
I found my room to be incredibly charming, and I really enjoyed the overall unique look and romantic feel of the Hotel CasaBlanca.
Hit the Roof!
If you have been keeping up with my blog, then you will know that I am obsessed with rooftops! From rooftop bars in Florence to the one-of-a-kind Metropol Parasol overlooking Sevilla, whenever I am in a new place I make it my mission to discover an awesome rooftop.

The rooftop terrace at the Hotel CasaBlanca is truly one-of-a-kind. Not only does it offer a great view of Old San Juan, but it also features 4 rooftop bathtubs perfect for soaking up some sun during the day, or taking a relaxing bath under the stars at night. The terrace also has outdoor seating where you can sunbathe, read a book, or take in the sights and sounds of Old San Juan.
